The Baldwin Pops has announced that 2024 marks the first year of a new fundraiser for the organization. According to Anne Brooks, Baldwin Pops Scheduler and Assistant to the Conductor, the Baldwin Pop’s constitution and by-laws requires that Baldwin Pops concerts are always free. This may seem like a problem for fundraising events for the organization, however the Baldwin Pops has ventured into a creative partnership related to the fact that three Baldwin Pops members perform in the Mobile Big Band Society.

“Save the Date – Mobile Big Band Society is coming to the Fairhope Civic Center June 22, 2024 for a benefit concert/dance event to benefit the Baldwin Pops community band. Tickets go on sale May 15th on the website, www.baldwinpops.com and at local sponsors, so tune in for the locations! We have a dance competition and a best dressed/best costume contest representing something from the decades the big bands reigned, 1930’s, 1940’s or 1950’S. There is a guest judge  you might see on local TV weathercasts!!!
